That cat belongs in the wild, not in some stupid peoples house. Wait till that attacks you or your cat. And they will be like it was such an tame and nice though!! Dumbasses
its a bengal cat. they are made by mixing leopards with domesticated breeds and then mixing that with more domesticated breeds until you get a nice big cat that looks wild and likes water, but without any of the temperment of a wild cat. they are actually quite nice and loveable
I just love all the Billy Bob comments from the Yanks. “Godam Cletus this darn thing could have been the cause of 9.11. Better go and shag your daughters before this cat does…..Oh, you already have.
if u look at the drinks on the table u can see that they are not american and thus these crazy ppl prob rnt american. i would like to hear more of a story about this insane pet tho
Ok. WOW! That is pretty cool, but only if it really is tame. And, by tame, i mean house-cat tame. Which it doesn’t look like…
And @anony, if everyone agreed with the whole “wild animals are not pets”, then how on earth would we have domesticated animals? It’s not exactly like we went out and found cats & dogs tame as can be!
Anyone who even questioned the sanity of this couple, needs to stop and consider that this couple has no problem at all with chicken blood in the living room.
They should have named it “Manson”, or “Geek”.
thats not a bengal cat. its way too big. and if its supposed to be a bengal cat its not removed by the 3 generations necessary to make it docile and domesticated. im pretty sure what theyve got there is illegal
alexsokolof is right, they aren’t american, the power plug on the wall says they are european… as far as the cat goes, it’s not a bengal, I believe the person that said asian fishing cat is right. also, I have friends that have 2 servals and a bobcat, and all 3 of those cats are tame and loving just large and you have to be careful when you play with them because they can scratch the hell out of you. unintentionally but it definitely still hurts.
This IS an Asian Fishing Cat, which is on the Threatened Red List, because it is hunted for it’s fur! Get indignant about that, not about a couple of Russians(and yes they are)who feed him his natural food. You don’t get so indignant about someone who owns a python and feeds it rodents. See next comment for continuation.
As for the size of this cat. There average weight is 25# for males and approx. 26″ in length. My orange American Shorthair tabby weighs in at 26lbs, and is approx.25″. I rescued him from outside at this size. He’d eat birds outside and small animals. He is feral but hasn’t once tried to eat anyone else, including my 8lb. Siamese! Have a another steak!!
ALC = Asian Leopard Cat. A Bengal is an ALC that has been interbred 4 times with a domestic cat (normally a BSH, Britsh Short Hair)
So, if you wanna look at it like this, this is ‘The Daddy’ of a Bengal cat!
I have a male 3 year old Bengal and he is just a ‘mini me’ of this fella - right down to swimming and killing anything that moves… Though he is also social and a lap cat - honest?!?!
While I agree that wild animals should be left in the wild it’s worth noting that all species were wild until someone decided to tame them. The bigger (and the more wild) the animal, the more careful you have to be. Most people aren’t responsible enough for the task so it’s best to not let it be a mainstream idea. Some people, however, are responsible enough…I just don’t want to see them bathing with the animals. That was uncalled for. lol
It is a-holes like this that get attacked and then get the animal killed. Not to mention wild animals are not novelty bath toys, aside from being immoral it is more than a little freaky.
Who is getting the most pleasure from this arrangement?
While I think it would be great to develop a friendly relationship with a cat that big, why would you want to keep something that large in your house? I’m glad to note it has all it’s teeth and claws, and they seem to give it a B.A.R.F. diet, but wouldn’t it be happier in a natural habitat?
Beautiful cat, looks about the size of an ocelot. This might be an Asian relative of our ocelots here. And yes, these pictures were not taken in the US. I can’t make out the writing on the calendar but those fixtures and tiles are not American and neither are the 220V outlets. I don’t see a problem having this cat, many people keep ocelots. I wouldn’t feed it raw meat and fish though.

Why a wild animal as a pet????
December 6th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Asian fishing cat. Where can I get one?
December 6th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
They’ll destroy all our native birds. Ban them.
December 6th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
I wasn’t sure these were freaks until that next to last pic…
December 6th, 2008 at 11:16 pm

December 7th, 2008 at 2:13 am

December 7th, 2008 at 11:50 am
Good it doesn’t eat beavers. oO
December 7th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
thinking of the cat’s POV, it’s pretty cool that they give him LIVE food.
Only a matter of time before he eats poor tuxedo-kitty…
Seriously tho, this is one species you do NOT want to see go feral in an urban environment.
December 7th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
That shirtless computer man sure is handsome.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
what kind of cat is that?
December 7th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
That water looks a little murky. Interesting post, I wonder where they got a live chicken from?
December 7th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
I would like to see more of the pussy(cat).
December 7th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
wild animals are not pets. wtf are you people thinking?
December 8th, 2008 at 1:01 am

Still…..way kick-ass cat!
December 8th, 2008 at 10:15 am
That “cat” sure is hairy!
December 8th, 2008 at 12:38 pm
Owners are probably Russian…
December 8th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
That cat belongs in the wild, not in some stupid peoples house. Wait till that attacks you or your cat. And they will be like it was such an tame and nice though!! Dumbasses
December 9th, 2008 at 10:33 am

December 10th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
@surprisingly
LOL. Best post.
December 11th, 2008 at 5:10 am
America really needs to overhaul its legal system, especialy when it comes to wild animals.
There are more TIGERS living in american homes than in the wild.
dumbass indeed, all fun and games until it eats your child.
December 11th, 2008 at 3:00 pm

It’s pretty unnerving to buy an animal as food for your wild pet. Another person might get a catfish or chicken as a pet in its own right…

Yeah, I’m sure loads of children are eaten by tigers every year.
December 12th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
that’s awesome! What a beautiful cat.. and I think it’s even more awesome that you all still feed it like it’s intended to be fed.
December 12th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
These folks aren’t American - the drinks on the table are wrong and the electrical outlets are wrong for America.
They’re probably eastern european or russian.
December 12th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Anyone else notice what appears to be a pacifier hanging from the computer desk? sure wouldn’t like that thing around with a kid in the house…
It’s all fun until someone loses a limb
December 13th, 2008 at 9:26 am
Erm it’s certainly not a Bengal Cat. It’s about 4 times too big! Certainly appears to be a Fishing Cat to me, from India and surrounds.
December 13th, 2008 at 10:15 am
wow that bathwater is dirty….hmm
December 13th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Jen @22
That’s not a US house: check the outlets. It’s a continental European house.
December 13th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
3rd photo down…that would scare the shit out of me if i got up in the middle of the night for a pee
December 14th, 2008 at 4:41 am
That kitty could definitely rip you a brand new asshole.
December 14th, 2008 at 7:36 am
You know what rips my undies here?
The damned thing’s fat. It’s a fat, overfed, underexercised tubby extension of their tubby selves.
That cat should be a lean mean killing machine. Instead they coop it up in an apartment and feed it too much.
Btw, you can totally see her snatch in that 2nd last picture…yesss! airpunch - awesome!

December 14th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
but shes old ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
December 15th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Yeah, like ikke said, why a wild animal as a pet? I mean the cats are cool, but that ugly beast in the tub with the cat has got to go!
December 15th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Bsooms!
December 15th, 2008 at 8:57 pm

I could do without the one of her in the tub.
And why does the cat have her butt plug for a toy?!?!?!

Butt plug..I thought it was a handgranade! damn now i can’t close my eyes without seeing “ungly-naked-russian-grannie-in-tub” but the Cat is the bomb!
December 17th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
That cat doesn’t seem any bigger then my rottweiler. I don’t seem what the problem is with owning it.
December 18th, 2008 at 2:38 pm

Illegal according to what laws?
Here’s a hint: There is a world outside your 50 states.

December 22nd, 2008 at 12:14 pm
White Trash at its best!
December 27th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
God,I hateYanks - xenophobic morons..
December 30th, 2008 at 12:13 am
I bet that cat is happier than most house cats…
my cats would LOVE it if i would just open up the fish tank.
besides if it was raised in captivity than it couldn’t miss the wild.
December 30th, 2008 at 10:07 pm

Looking closer, this Asian Water Cat looks almost like my Siamese/Bengal mix, just a little bigger. Not much bigger though.
